With the cancellation of the Cerberus Stages due to the Victorian fires in February, the East Gippsland Stages is the first round of the Victorian Rally Championship for 2009.
Follow up:
Clerk of Course Glen McAliece has moved the event slightly closer to Melbourne for this years event, with it again starting on Bairnsdale, but this time finishing at Lindenow.
