I add my thanks to all those who contributed to the setting up and running of SS09 but a special thanks to the timing team for providing the funding! What a fabulous circuit. As Matt noted, its not often one can get airborne a few hundred metres into a warmup lap. It also proved the lie in the old line "I'm just there to have fun". In the first two runs, I recall Cale was faster than the EVO by less than 5/100ths on every lap. Only with a bit more determination on the last run did I manage to creep ahead. Thanks to Mike for the nostalgia drive - its a long time since I've driven a Civic in a motorkhana. And was happy to let those who wished have a drive of the EVO on the skid pan - its a fabulous car to drive and hard to see what can go wrong on the skid pan (but after seeing Matt's antics in Cale's car, won't be putting sticky tyres on the EVO).
