Dear MUCC Member
The following is an update on information regarding the planned club event on the 27th and 28th of June. Hopefully you will have recently received a letter from President and Clerk of Course Peter Otzen updating you on current club activities and you are considering joining us for the Shepparton Shennanigans, one of the cheapest weekends of club motor sport that is on offer anywhere.

Level 1 Licences (formerly known as “Come and Try” licences)
Club members who don’t have a level 2 Speed licence required by the event supplementary regulations are in fact eligible to compete in this event on the CAMS Level One licence.
This licence is specifically designed to encourage members who don’t have a competition licence to come along and have a go. The licence entitles you to compete in one event only. The cost of this licence is $25. So if you were deterred from competing because you don’t have a Level 2 Speed licence, this provides you with a cost effective way to participate.
Let the event secretary know, when you are filling out the entry form that you need a Level One licence and the Club will organise for your licence to be delivered to the event for you.
Entry $25 plus Level One licence $25 is a total of $50.
So if your partner or child is not a MUCC member already they can compete by becoming a member. Membership $25 (other lower concessional rates available), Entry $25, Level One licence $25 is a total of $75.
Dinner
I have booked Cellar 47 for between 15 and 20 people and I need to confirm in the week prior. Please let me know at paufra@bigpond.net.au if you are joining us for dinner on the Saturday night.
Accommodation
I have investigated accommodation options in Shepparton and motels are not a cheap option at $135 plus per room per night.
I believe the Victoria Lake Holiday Park is the best option. Spoke with the office person today (Ben) and he said the Nissan Skyline Club use their park 3 times a year when they hire the speedway and apparently have a great time.
Victoria Lake Holiday Park
(03) 5821 5431
536 Wyndham Street Shepparton (located in centre of town)
The park currently has ensuite and deluxe cabins available for Saturday 27th June 2009.
Option 1: Ensuite Cabin - Double bed plus 3 bunks (No linen or towels provided for any bed)
Cabin hire $87 (based on 2 people)
Linen hire per bed $12 or can bring sleeping bag and towels
Extra person $12 per night
Option 2: Deluxe Cabin - Queen bed in bedroom one, Double Bed and single bunk in bedroom two - Linen and towels provided for Queen bed ONLY
Cabin hire $102 (based on 2 people)
Linen hire available for double bed ($12) or single bunk ($10)- or can bring sleeping bag and towels
Extra person $12 per night
MUCC members should just ring the park directly and make a booking in their own name and pay the deposit etc at the time of booking. The office won't hold the cabins in the name of MUCC, but they should mention that I have made enquiries on behalf of MUCC for this date.
A number of club members have already booked here. Car parking with trailers and extra cars won't be a problem.
Peter and I hope to see you in Shepparton for a sensational weekend.
Best regards
Paulf
